The Goldfish has been with us for thousands o years and with its many variations still has an appeal to millions of fish-keepers.

The hardy Goldfish requires less involvement with equipment and offers a more straightforward approach with regards to maintenance and cost whilst still delivering that special comfort of having a colourful presence of aquatic life in your home or work place.

Generally speaking, coldwater fish when referring to aquariums mean species of fish that live in cooler water temperatures that tropical fish. The temperature varies slightly but is generally below 20 C (68 F). Some examples of coldwater fish are koi and the ever popular 'goldfish'. Coldwater fish tend to grown more slowly over time when compared to fish that live in a warmer environment. They also live longer and are easier to keep than tropical fish.
